Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team. In this role, you will support our attorneys by conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and assisting with case management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:Conduct legal research using various resources such as Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other online databases.Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and pleadings.Organize and maintain case files and documents using document management systems.Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate written summaries.Assist with case management tasks, including scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings.Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed.Perform general clerical duties such as answering phone calls, managing calendars, and maintaining office supplies.Skills:

Proficient in data entry and computer skills.Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.Familiarity with document management systems is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
