JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Dubois is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking part-time professional to join the recruitment and admissions team in the Admissions Office. Hours are around 24 hours per week, with the possibility of increased hours during peak times.
Job Duties
The primary responsibility of this opening will be to recruit the most qualified and diverse class to Penn State DuBois while providing superior admissions experience for students and families.
Work in undergraduate admissions and represent both the campus and the University at recruitment events throughout the year, traveling extensively to high schools, college fairs, and other off-campus events.
Provide in-take services, responding to general requests from individual applicants, parents, families, and counselors.
Assist in the creation, design, coordination, and delivery of presentations at recruitment and/or student aid events for prospective students on behalf of the campus and the University.
Additional duties include coordinating and hosting field trips and visit opportunities for prospective students to the Penn State DuBois campus.
Also manages application follow up and develops communication strategies to reach student applicants.
Will work with the full-time Admissions Officer on covering these responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
Some evening and weekend work is required during peak times in the enrollment and recruitment cycle.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in college admissions is preferred.
Must demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong presentation skills.
Proven time management skills are essential along with the ability to manage concurrent projects.
Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.
Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
