Ensure the behavior of the crew (when working on a client site) is in accordance with company safety culture. Understands the lagging and leading safety indicators and promotes a philosophy that achieves established goals. Identification of job site/area specific safety requirements, safety equipment, material procurement, training requirements and tracking of training.

Responsibilities As a Safety Manager, your key responsibility will be to manage and enforce Site Safety Program for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage. By using and enforcing job specific safety standards, best management practices, and Site Specific safety program, the Safety Manager shall ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site resulting in an accident/incident free project.

Site Details

Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Site Specific policies and owner/contractual requirements.

Conduct daily and/or weekly (as appropriate or specified by job) job site inspections.

Record observations from site inspections and complete required reports.

Investigate, corroborate, document, all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite.

Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws.

Conduct weekly "Toolbox Safety Meeting' and document content and attendance.

Conduct Safety Orientation for new employees.

Advise project staff on site specific safety issues/guideline

Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations

Minimum Requirements

Thorough knowledge of General Industry methods and OSHA standards.

OSHA 30 General Industry Certification, OSHA 501 is a plus.

5-10 years safety experience in construction industry.

REQUIRED • Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
