Mitigation Technician II
Job Purpose: The Mitigation Technician II is responsible for performing water mitigation, content manipulation, fire and smoke cleaning of structure and contents, remediation of mold and microbial contamination within residential and commercial structures. Level II means you come with 1 year of experience or more in the restoration industry and have continued you education in the field. You are now comfortable performing tasks independently, including paperwork completion and leading a crew.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Construction of containment systems and critical barriersMonitoring of environmental controls and negative pressureOperation of air scrubbers and negative air machinesMonitoring moisture and humidityPrecision demolitionRemoval of contaminated building materialsPost-remediation detailed cleaning and fire odor restorationPerform dry-checksWater damage emergency response and monitoringMold remediationBiohazard cleanupSet up and monitor drying equipmentApply antimicrobial productsProper use of PPE equipment including respirator, gloves, and goggles.Leads a team of 1-2 personnelCan work independently to complete jobsCross training in Cleaning, Contents, and CRUOther duties as assignedQualifications:
Experience in mitigation and construction restoration minimum 1 yearCertification with the IICRC a plusCompletion of 6 basic Reet's Academy training or W.R.T certificationProficient use of all mitigation equipment and toolsAbility to create moisture map in the fieldBasic understanding of Xactimate and MICA is a plusAbility to use Matterport for scansBasic understanding and utilization of iCat is a plusMitigation chemical application knowledgeMaintains a good driving recordEquipment knowledge/troubleshootingModels the CRBR Core Valueso Respect - "Success through honoring ourselves and others"

Work Environment:
Jobsites may vary from very clean environments to very dirty environments or other unsanitary conditions. Protective gear is available for use and is required on some heavily contaminated work sites.The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.Physical Demands:
Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force routinely, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Ascends/descends ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.Maintain balance in all situations.Must be comfortable in confined spaces for long periods of timePush, pull and frequently carry objects such as tools, materials and equipment.Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.Stand and walk for long periods of time.Coordinate movement with eyes, hands, fingers, and feet.See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
