Our Oakland Office is seeking an Environmental Planning Intern for summer 2025.
Relocation and housing are NOT provided for these positions.
What You’ll Do:
Assists project team members with various support tasks.
Conducts basic research and data collection.
Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
Performs other duties assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
Primary Focus will include:
Reviewing environmental technical reports for template consistency
Conducting basic research using excel spreadsheets
Assisting with file management
Work on transportation projects including road & highway, bicycle & pedestrian, and transit/rail infrastructure
What We Prefer
Currently enrolled in undergraduate program focusing in Environmental Sciences, Urban Planning, Anthropology, Environmental Management, Biological Sciences or related field
Completion of 2 courses in environmental topics
Strong research and analytical skills
Strong writing and communication skills
Experience with ESRI GIS Products, Excel and PowerPoint
Basic coursework covering California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)/Environmental sciences and policies

The approximate pay range for the California San Francisco Bay Area is $25.07 - $37.60. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
