Position Summary
The Department of Neurology is seeking to recruit an experienced Nurse Practitioner I to provide medical care to patients on the neurology inpatient service.
Responsibilities
Admitting patients, preparing patients for discharge, making daily rounds, ordering diagnostic tests and treatments, talking to patients and families, calling and conferring with consultants, writing admission and discharge notes and daily notes, all under the supervision of an attending neurologist.
Primary Patient Care duties - 80%
Administration - 10%
Other duties as assigned - 10%
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Critical Care, emergency department care, and/or inpatient neurology care.
Other Requirements
New York State NP and RN license
Able to meet New York-Presbyterian Hospital credentialing requirements.
