Job Title: Registered NurseJob Specialty: Case Management - Utilization ReviewJob Duration: 13 weeksShift: Day - 7.5 x 5 - 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per weekExperience: Minimum 1 year of inpatient case management experienceLicense: Required to submitCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), PRI & SCREEN certificationsMust-Have: - Knowledge of discharge planning and making referrals- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team- Critical thinking and good time management skillsJob Description:- Work primarily on Medical-Surgical (MS) or Telemetry units- Manage a typical caseload of 17-25 patients, with some pilot floors having 12-17 patients- Collaborate with social workers on patient care- Participate in rounding with physicians and the care team- Focus on discharge planning, handling various patient needs such as housing and community support- Use electronic medical records system, Allscripts- Preference for experience with CarePort, MCG, and/or InterQual- Supportive management committed to employee well-being, including break policies- Occasional weekend and holiday work, with manager approval- Dress code is business casual or scrubs in neutral colors, with lab coats provided- Orientation consists of two days of hospital orientation including EMR training, and 1-2 weeks with a preceptor depending on the individualNote: The position requires individuals who can think critically and manage their time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
