Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple manufacturing programs from inception through completion. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, project management, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with engineering, production, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across functions.
Assign tasks and responsibilities. Provide guidance and support to team members.
Conduct regular meetings to review project status and address any issues or concerns.
Resource Management:
Identify and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Manage key vendor relationships and oversee procurement of necessary materials and services.
Quality and Compliance:
Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to customer quality requirements.
Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement.
Implement best practices and process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Prepare and present regular progress reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Proven experience in manufacturing program management, project management, or a related role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and project management methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Work Environment:
Office setting with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities.
May require occasional travel to meet with suppliers, clients, or other facilities.
