ASCP-Cytologist (ASCP-CT), Specialist in Cytology-ASCP (SCT): Must have CT or SCT from ASCPResponsibilities:
Cytotechnologist 1 screens gynecological cytology specimens, renders an appropriate diagnosis, and triages abnormal gynecologic cases to pathologists.Pre-screens non-gynecologic cytology cases for pathologist reviewParticipates in other quality control initiatives and assists as needed in a variety of laboratory functionsCompletes screening and computer entry of diagnosis for gynecological and non-gynecological casesParticipates in cytology department quality assurance and quality control programContributes to the education of others and continues own education
