Technical-Cyto Supervisor | Cytology Lab | Days | Full-Time

Overview FTE: 1.0 Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY Oversee technical operations in the lab, including administrative and technical support of laboratory operations, problem resolution, technical development and procedure implementation, purchasing, etc. Perform analytical procedures when required. Responsible for Quality Assurance functions, including data collection, analysis and reporting. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding procedural changes in a timely manner. Assume operational responsibility during Manager's absence. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology; OR Bachelor Degree in a physical, chemical or biological science, and three to five years experience/training as a Cytotechnologist; OR 90 semester hours of science and completion of an AHCA approved training program. Seven years of experience as a Cytotechnologist is required. Minimum five years of lead or supervisory experience is preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must possess a current license as a State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in the appropriate lab area, or be eligible for a temporary license. Must possess ASCP certification as a Cytotechnologist. SCT(ASCP) Specialist Certification is preferred. Temporary state licensure must be permanent within one year of accepting the position; if not, the position is automatically forfeited Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'
