Responsibilities

The Department of Internal Medicine, Whiddon College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama is looking for a fulltirne board eligible/board certified Pulmonary/Critical Care provider to join the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Assistant/ Associate Professor level. Responsibilities will include teaching students, housestaff and fellows, patient care, performance of pulmonary related procedures, and basic and/or clinical research. The chosen candidate will join our division compromised of 6 faculty members and 9 pulmonary fellows. Faculty share weekend call and are assigned to clinical services based on activities such as research time, formal teaching at the COM undergraduate level, clinical educator role, etc.

Candidate Qualifications include:• Successful completion/in process of completing an ACGME accredited Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Fellowship program• Board certified in Internal Medicine and BE/BC in both Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine• Ability to obtain medical license/DEA for the state of Alabama
