Position Summary

The School of Professional Studies is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance and Administration to manage operating and revenue budgets for the School of Professional Studies including controlling and approving expenditures and auditing departmental accounts. Assist Director with long-range forecasting and strategic financial planning. Establish, manage and maintain financial reporting systems for the department. Supervise 4 full-time clerical support staff who prepare and process payroll and payments.Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related area.

Required Experience:3+ years of related experience with accounting and/or budget administration, financial reporting, and staff supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:Experience within university setting.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communication with individuals at all levels. Knowledge of standard office software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $97,500.
