ABOUT US!

Northwoods Veterinary Service has been serving central Wisconsin for nearly 20 years. We provide high-quality veterinary services to our clients. Our focus is on reproduction and overall herd health. We have 2 full-time DVMs willing to provide a good learning environment and mentorship, accommodating a new graduate transitioning from student to practicing DVM. We have one Veterinary Assistant who helps with herd checks and does our in-house lab testing. We have 2 office support staff as well. We have always been willing to let DVM pursue areas of interest within the practice.

Seeking a Full-Time, Large Animal Associate; Focus on milk quality, herd health, and ambulatory services; On-Call shared by all doctors; Ability to develop clinical skills with experienced mentors; Commitment and support to your career goals and professional growth. The potential candidate should be proficient in rectal palpation and ultrasound, and have a basic understanding of production animal medicine, individual cow medicine, and be able to perform common on-farm surgical procedures. DC305 records analysis and record keeping for our clients. We have an in-house chemistry and CBC analyzer. We are certified with USDA to do Johne's testing and do regular BVD-PI testing too.

REQUIRED TRAINING:

DVM, Wisconsin license, federal accreditation.

PRACTICE AREA:

Located 20 miles East of Wausau, and 1 hour West of Green Bay, with abundant opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, etc! The village of Birnamwood, WI resides in Shawano County & Marathon counties.
