Position Summary:
The Client Advisory Manager will lead our Client Accounting Services (CAS) group which will focus on monthly accounting and advisory services for businesses that are looking to outsource accounting functions. This person will be a problem-solver, and help provide data that will make our client's processes and bookkeeping more efficient.
The right individual for this role will have an entrepreneurial mindset and will be someone who is looking to build out a practice within a mid-sized CPA firm by using technology, data, and other resources to advise our clients. This position is available in one of our Northeast, Ohio offices (Cleveland, Akron, or Wooster).
Key Responsibilities
Prepares monthly and year-end workpapers.Payroll preparation utilizing payroll software.Reconciles various general ledger, bank, and credit card accounts.Prepares or assists in the preparation of sales/use, CAT, corporate and individual taxes.Works in a cloud-based accounting environment.Assists with preparation of internal financial statements.Complies with firm administrative policies.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High school graduate required. Associate Degree in Accounting preferred.Experience managing teamsCertified Bookkeeper and/or Quickbooks Professional Advisor preferred but not required.The ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels in the organization.Proficient knowledge and utilization of software programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Planner, Outlook) as well as Quickbooks Online, Bill.com, Quickbooks Payroll, and accounting and tax-related software. Data analysis and data visualization software experience is a plusSolid mathematical aptitude.Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented.Needs to be flexible when neededMust be a self-starter, being able to work independently as well as on a team.The ability to prioritize and meet set deadlines.The ability to multi-task, handle interruptions and problem solve.The ability to learn and utilize new software, or new features in existing software.The ability to embrace change and suggest changes in processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
