In this role, you will be responsible for the functional and technical design of business systems; integration of business services & information security; drives industry-specific best practices & standards; understands regulatory compliance needs; coordinates test planning & execution; provides leadership to AD teams and acts as technology liaison to all IT areas within DTCC, to the business partners, and to the industry. Leading projects, teams, code reviews are required to be able to lead by example.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

As an expert application architect and senior software engineer, mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward crafting next-generation solutions that improve the way our business is run.Defines and factors in performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, security, maintainability, support, testing and cost requirements when making technology selection and application design decisions.Define approaches for modernizing legacy applications including migration to public or private cloud infrastructure.Own the engineering design practices of our software development organization.Lead design reviews session.Collaborate with Infrastructure and Solution Architecture to choose efficient hosting environment.Focus on industry practices such as lose coupling of applications, standardization, apis, reusability, concepts of isolation, extensibility, extendibility and consistency of solutions while proposing and reviewing architectures.Identify and solve for non-functional requirements for the platform consumers.Ensures solutions adhere to security policies and standards of firm and industry.Conduct POCs for tools as seen fit for the area.**NOTE: The Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **

Qualifications:

Min 10+ years' experience in software development and architectureBachelor's degree in computer software or related field and/or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success:

Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture subject areas.Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and standard processes.Sophisticated knowledge of software architecture, design, and development principles and practices.Experience with building messaging, event-driven, and cloud-native application architectures.Strong understanding of domain driven design and micro services architecture.Previous experience as the lead architect in designing, developing, and deploying high-transaction volume, business critical applications with very large user base.In-depth understanding of all aspects of the Java platform and the Spring family of frameworks.Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.Passionate about building an innovative culture.Hands-on experience in application developmentExtensive experience with:

Java (Core & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud)UI/UX (Angular or equivalent)SCM / DevOps / CI/CD tools & process (GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Sonar)Web Technologies (JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, JSON, REST, SOAP)Testing tools & frameworks (Jasmin/Karma, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, Mockito)Agile Methodology and Tools (JIRA)Experience with MicroServices & Layered (SOA/MVC) ArchitectureExperience with Integration patterns and messaging technologies (Solace, Kafka, RabbitMQ)Experience with Caching solutions (REDIS, Gemfire, EHCache)Experience with Cloud deployments (Private Cloud / AWS / Azure)Proven demonstration with Cloud Platforms, Container/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry)

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. About the Team

IT Architecture and Enterprise Services are responsible for enabling digital transformation of DTCC. The group manages complexity of the technology landscape within DTCC and enhances agility, robustness and security of the technology footprint. It does so by serving as the focal point for all technology architectural activities in the organization as well as engineering a portfolio of foundational technology assets to enable our digital transformation.
