Location: Jacksonville, Arkansas
Duties:Develop, implement, and coordinate all annual Catholic Religious Education (RE) programs, including but not limited to Children's RE, Bible Studies, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and other activities.Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various RE programs and activities.Coordinate with the Wing Chaplain and other program leaders to create and maintain an annual calendar of events, budgets, and core religious education curriculum.Ensure all volunteers working with minors have a current and favorable background check.Maintain accurate records of attendance, volunteer hours, financial expenditures, and program data.Attend staff meetings, advisory councils, and other necessary meetings to report on program progress.Draft and submit publicity materials for Catholic community programs and events.Coordinate sacramental preparation programs, including Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation, ensuring all necessary records are supplied to the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS).Requirements:
Must be Roman Catholic, active, and in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church.Certified as a Catechist by the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) or in pursuit of an advanced certificate in Catechesis.Minimum of an associate degree required; a bachelor's or master's degree is preferred.Prior experience working with children in a group setting.Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher) or willing to obtain proficiency within 90 days of contract start.Ability to work in a pluralistic and multi-faith chapel setting.Must obtain Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and Infant CPR training.
