Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Critical CareSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:Dayton Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting for two additional Pediatric Critical Care Intensivists to join our current team of 8 intensivists in our Critical Care Medicine Department. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in pediatric critical care medicine and must hold/obtain an unrestricted medical license to practice in Ohio. Responsibilities include clinical time, clinical research, and deep sedation. These are full time positions, employed by the Dayton Children’s Specialty Physicians and includes a comprehensive compensation and benefit package.

Department Specific Job Details:

The critical care complex consists of 24 PICU beds and is in the patient tower on the hospital’s main campus. The intensivists provide 24/7 in-house coverage. There are approximately 1300 admissions/year. The multi-disciplinary team consists of residents, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, pharmacist, social workers, and dietitians. A team of individuals dedicated solely to pediatric transport provides mobile intensive care services to our region.

From the tiniest infants in our NICU to expert cancer care and pediatric surgery, we are the only hospital in the region with a full-time dedication to children. We serve a pediatric population of 510,000 from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. The hospital is a designated Level I pediatric trauma center.
