POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will be part of the finance team responsible for budgeting, creating financial models, monthly financial reports, driving financial and non-financial KPIs through analytics, and other ad hoc reports. The successful candidate will be an accomplished finance person with a curious mind for solving problems and an innovative way of looking at the numbers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The FP&A Director will perform a wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to:Work closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long-term financial and strategic planCreate, update, and maintain a three-statement modelWork with management to build their annual budgets and forecastsProduce models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factorsDeliver competitor analysis, market trends, and associated commentary to the Leadership teamAnalyze financial and operational results to better understand company performanceUtilize BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performanceCommunicate to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and resultsProvide detailed analysis and commentary on cost center resultsReview operations and recommend new productivity or cost saving initiativesPrepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisionsReview existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement effortsEvaluate previous budgets and expenditures to develop and implement future budgetsCommunicate results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operationsProvide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts, and profitabilityPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline requiredExperience:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experienceAdvanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packagesADDITIONAL REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:

Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting toolsStrong quantitative abilitiesAble to solve complex problemsExcellent communication skills with ability to build relationshipsStrong influencing and interpersonal skillsHigh level of financial acumenMBA a plusWORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Works primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potentialAbility to work directly in office (Scottsdale, AZ) four days per weekSedentary, sitting, walkingSits for extended periods of timeOccasional TravelMust have sufficient visual acuity to be able to work, for prolonged periods of time, on a computer monitor
