Weekly Pay Range - $2733 To $3036

Job Title: Radiology/Mammography Technologist II Job Specialty: - Job Duration: 8-week initial duration with a strong possibility of extension Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required; previous travel experience preferred License: Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure Certifications: Graduate of an AMA-approved mammography course Must-Have: 3D (tomo) training Job Description: - Work under the supervision of the manager to perform all radiographic and mammographic studies.- Produce radiographs and organize images, complete the required paperwork, and manage charges.- Ensure patient safety and wellbeing during examinations, assist and instruct patients.- Assist with clerical duties and mammography regulatory tasks.- Report all equipment malfunctions and clean and inspect equipment prior to use.- Be responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.- Maintain neat and orderly exam rooms.- Report equipment failures and/or malfunctions to the supervisor or director.- Report all patient complaints and discrepancies to the supervisor.- Process images and complete and organize paperwork.- Perform required quality control as appropriate.- Adjust mammography controls as needed prior to scheduled start.- Produce high-quality mammography images for all patients, including those in wheelchairs or with implants.- Confer with the radiologist throughout the shift to ensure proper viewing, imaging, and techniques to optimize patient examinations.- Identify abnormal breast tissue and repeat exposure or include additional views to reduce patient anxiety.- Confirm the location of prior examinations and contact previous facilities to secure previous mammograms for comparison.- Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Effort: Capable of assisting in moving patients and carrying a weight of thirty pounds a distance of fifty feet. Languages: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
