DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced finance leader to join its Partner Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of one of the most dynamic and fastest growing organizations at Amazon. The role will work closely with business and finance stakeholders to scale and optimize key programs leveraged by AWS Partners to build, market and sell AWS solutions and services to customers. The candidate will be responsible for building reporting mechanisms to monitor program health, deep-diving variances to uncover operating insights, collaborating on program design decisions to optimize financial returns, establishing/enhancing governance mechanisms, and driving planning and forecasting rhythms. Successful candidates will have a high degree of intellectual curiosity, a passion for uncovering insights to drive business outcomes at scale, the ability to influence senior stakeholders via strong written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to prioritize effectively while dealing with ambiguity.Key job responsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:Collaborate with business stakeholders on program design decisions that balance growth objectives with financial returnsInvent and automate detailed reporting to monitor the business and financial health of major programsDeep Dive drivers of monthly & quarterly variances in revenue & expense metrics and provide key insights to business stakeholders to inform operating strategiesOwn planning and forecasting for program expenses and influence business stakeholders to ensure plans are aligned with broader organizational objectivesDevelop and implement governance mechanisms to protect AWS investmentsPerform ad-hoc analyses to help business leaders solve complex problems and understand financial implicationsBasic Qualifications- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experiencePreferred Qualifications- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
