DescriptionWe are seeking a Safety Manager to join our team at ECBuild!The Safety Manager is directly responsible for managing the safety and risk associated with construction projects and company operations. The Safety Manager will proactively plan, direct and implement the Company's onsite safety program to ensure a safe, healthy and accident free work environment. This position supports the Field Safety Coordinator in ensuring each construction project is conducting operations in a safe manner for the protection of our employees, clients, subcontractors and the general public. The Safety Manager aides the project team in compliance with all applicable federal, state, county and local safety related regulations.Essential Functions:Oversee all documentation of Training Records and maintains an accurate record keeping of all onsite Company Personnel Safety Training Documents.Assist in conducting safety observations and inspections of job sites, maintains records of these.Assist in conducting evaluations of exposures and recommends hazards controls through the Site-Specific Safety Plan.Visit project sites and assess safe working conditions.Help identify safety related issues and risks on project sites.Review and investigate all onsite accidents, incidents, and near misses to prevent future occurrences.Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents, and near misses through the Monthly Incident Reporting documentation process. (Forwards these reports to Corporate Management)Prepare technically detailed reports providing a clear assessment of risk and appropriate recommendations.Develop loss related information, service plans, recommendations and reports to reduce losses.Review claims and loss trends in order to initiate loss mitigation efforts.Monitor safety activities of other contractors/subcontractors to ensure site specific safety program/programs are followed and to assess the overall safety performance at our projects.Conduct safety training of ECBuild LLC personnel as well as contractor/subcontractors on safety expectations and specific onsite safety requirements.Stay abreast of all current and future changes to Federal Safety Regulations and develop/modify company procedures to assure compliance with new regulations.Represent ECBuild at Safety Violation hearings.Performs other safety related duties as assigned.
RequirementsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or safety related field, Minimum of 5-10 years combined experience in the role of construction supervision and construction safety.Understanding of Good Construction PracticesUnderstanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)Excellent time management skills and a high attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, ExcelFlexibility and willingness to travel and work at various locationsAbility to work well with diverse, multi-disciplined groupsOSHA 30 hour and other OSHA certifications. Training/instructor certification would be plus.Preferred Education and Experience:Project Types: Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laboratory, MEP, Industrial and Commercial Construction Experience is a plus.
