Nurse Practitioner or PA Neonatal JSUMC FT

The NICU Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse performs the role utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through the following competencies: leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision making. Works collaboratively with other members of the practice/hospital team to assess, plan and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Proficient in newborn resuscitation, intubation and stabilization, umbilical lines, PIV, arterial blood draw, ventilation management, needle aspiration and chest tubes, spinal tap, interpretation of x-rays, appropriate and efficient use of consultants
