This Senior Manager - Supply Chain Technology position will lead a team of business analysts, product owners and developers focused on defining, building, delivering, and running technology for the following Supply Chain functions:

Demand Planning

Supplier Performance

Internal Order management

Transportation management system

We are embarking on several transformations across the company and this role will play a key role in innovation and technology change for the Supply Chain functions within Technical Operations.

This role will have responsibility for evaluating, implementing and running a variety of licensed software as well as building our own in-house solutions that are cloud-based.

The individual will use groundbreaking technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily and will be relied upon to help take the team to the next level. This role demands a strong leader who can oversee budgets, deliverables, and development metrics and resource planning.

This position will collaborate extensively with other areas of the Digital Technology teams that support Technical Operations, as well as Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Digital PMO, Digital Operations and Cyber Security. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that supports a critical function at United as well as within our industry.

Roadmap Delivery

Lead activities to focus on modernizing the digital solutions to support the operations team needs and build future state roadmaps.

Collaborate with product and architecture teams to design, develop, deploy and support and modernize applications.

Oversee projects to ensure delivery of work requests and projects are within committed budget, on schedule, and the quality of individual projects meets the overall program performance goals.

Manage development and application KPIs, take corrective actions where necessary proper documentation of applications and implement continuous improvements.

Development Standards, Tools & Architecture

Ensure IT application development process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QA, etc.) and standards are established, effectively managed and performed

Play a key role in formulating and following the procedures and processes for development

Create a team structure and process for quality control during development, testing for debugging code and deployment

Remain informed of new technologies and/or business processes and incorporating those technologies to improve the productivity of the applications staff and software systems' maintainability

Drive continuous improvement and be adaptable to changing designs and to adding performance enhancements

Leadership

Lead a multi-functional impactful team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technology solutions

Manage vendor development teams assigned to projects and core support

Foster professional development and energy in the team

Establish department and individual goals

Assess and recommend improvements to the organization structure, roles and responsibilities

Perform short- and long-term resources planning to ensure the proper number of resources and right skills are available to meet project goals and schedules

Use creative and proactive leadership skills to address project challenges and opportunities
