JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Center for Healthy Aging in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State is seeking a Research Project Manager to join a collaborative research team. The final candidate will help oversee and advise on multiple externally funded research projects related to mobile health phenotyping and environmental influences. This position will interact directly with staff, faculty, and internal/external collaborators.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and advise on project planning, including preparation of regulatory materials for new projects, addressing regulatory feedback, and managing the internal review board process using the Penn State CATS IRB application.
Oversee data collection to understand capacity, needs, and potential issues by working closely with the data collection team.
Manage and organize the knowledge base and documentation of all data variables at all levels of analysis.
Work collaboratively with the Center Operations Manager to forecast budgets, confirm expense allowability, complete forms and required documentation, and maintain documentation to track expenses.
Coordinate manuscript submission procedures by working collaboratively with PIs and study team members.
Work with PIs on hiring and onboarding new study team members.

Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Penn State REDCap application, IRB protocols, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information: This is a limited-term staff appointment, funded for one year from the date of hire, with the possibility for renewal.
