Elwyn Adult Behavioral Health Services is hiring for a Clinician to provide substance abuse rehabilitation, individual counseling and staff resource education in a therapeutic setting assisting adult consumers with a primary diagnosis of mental illness and co-existing addictions disorders to achieve social, economic, emotional and personal independence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete substance abuse assessments for all clients Integrate a variety of treatment modalities and clinical interactions Facilitate dual diagnosis treatment group on as needed basis, focusing on education/motivation, relapse prevention, and evidence based practices Assesses mental health status, safety and any potential medication contraindication
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: MA degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, social work or closely related human services discipline required One (1) year directly providing addiction services counseling work experience CADAC or equivalent addictions certificate desired. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities Demonstrated strong attention to detail Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication Demonstrated (basic, intermediate, advanced) experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferred Experience using and knowledge of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
