ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent provides, coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach.

Uses critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge

Asists with patient intake by performing the EKG assessment as well as the gym orientation. May also assist with BP readings and taking vital signs (SPO2, HR, BORG RPE, and calculate patient THR) as needed

Monitors and adjusts patient's exercise progression to meet the discharge standards

Demonstrates competency in patient care for adult, and geriatric patients

Conducts accurate and complete documentation of patient therapy sessions

Collaborates with members of the healthcare team, provides leadership, personal/professional development, and conducts him/herself professionally

Coordinates with the RN for facilitating the routine operations of the cardiac rehabilitation program

Responsible for initial exercise prescriptions of patients and ongoing assessment/adjustment throughout the recovery process

QualificationsMinimum

Bachelors degree in exercise physiology physical education or related field.

1 year recent experience in Cardiac Rehab or related field.

CT CPR; CT ACLS
