Ou client is looking for a
Category Manager
who will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement activities align with the organization's goals and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for IT categories, including hardware, software, and services.Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Market Analysis:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT procurement landscape.Collaboration:
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal teams, to align procurement strategies with business needs.Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.Cost Management:
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect categoriesStrong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in procurement software and tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with e-procurement systems.Knowledge of IT industry trends and technologies.Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
