Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Microscopically examining all stained slides and controls to determine accuracy of the last test and making modifications to the procedures.

Experience in FFPE tissue microscopy (brightfield and multiplex IF) preferred.Experience in histology techniques (FFPE tissue processing, embedding, sectioning) preferred.

Developing simple and complex immunostaining methods (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, enzyme histochemistry), slide scan imaging.

Experience with IHC and immunofluorescence (IF) staining techniques (single plex and multiplex) preferred.

Closely collaborating with in-vivo team and other research project groups.Presenting data to project teams.

Familiarity with image analysis software such as Visiopharm, Inform, Phenochart, Image J, Qupath would be helpful.

Ensuring routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on all lab equipment.Managing the histology area by purchasing and maintaining inventory of supplies and organizing of workstations.Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

BS-Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 1-3 years of histology experience in a hospital or CRO laboratory.

HT, HTL, ASCP certification or eligible for certification required.Immunohistochemistry Certification (QIHC, ASCP) preferred, but not required.

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of mammals.Strong attention to detail.Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Ability to communicate issues as they occur.Works well both as a team and as an individual.Demonstration of very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
