Location: Special Services Full-time Speech Language Pathologist position, district wide, working with students grades preschool through 12.
QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school. Idaho Pupil Personnel Service credential with S/LP endorsement. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence; or, CFY available. Have a current Idaho occupational license or be qualified for licensure as a SLP. Demonstrate knowledge of current best practices in the area of speech-language pathology. Demonstrate effective communication skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse student population. Passion for public schools. Adhere to a high level of professional and ethical standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Provide high quality speech-language therapy services to student according to students' IEPs/504 plans. Conduct screeners, assessments, analyze results, and write reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, receptive and expressive language. Develop treatment plans (IEPs/504 plans) and progress monitoring that align with state guidelines. Provide services on an individual, small-group, or classroom basis. Maintain appropriate, confidential, records and provide timely reports. Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders. Collaborate with and train other professionals and parents to facilitate students' academic, communication, and social skills in an education environment. Participate in program planning and professional learning communities.
SALARY AND BENEFITS Salary based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience. Available district benefits include: health, dental, vision, life insurances plus PERSI retirement. Very competitive yearly stipend available.
