The External Reporting team is responsible for providing clear, complete, accurate and consistent financial information to both internal and external stakeholders. The Director, SEC Reporting will support this mission by leveraging a strong project management and accounting background, attention to detail, and ability to oversee a team of talented professionals while collaborating as a business partner with various teams across the broader organization. The Director, SEC Reporting will primarily focus on leading the Company's SEC reporting activities. These reporting streams are managed within the context of many different requirements such as SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley 404, US GAAP and company policies, as they play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely external financial reporting. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Lead SEC reporting to comply and report the Company's financial information under SEC regulatory requirements, US GAAP and company policies on Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 11-K and Press Release SEC filings (SEC Filings), including establishing a timeline for completion of tasks to ensure internal and external deadlines are met. Review SEC Filings, including the tie out of financial statements and footnotes to company records for completeness and accuracy. Maintain responsibility for the generation, completion and publishing of the Quarterly Earnings Binder for distribution to various business partners. Collaborate with various business partners on supplemental disclosures including, but not limited to, investor presentations and slide decks, earnings call scripts and annual proxy disclosures. Review benefit plan financial statements and the associated tie outs for completeness and accuracy in accordance with SEC, DOL, IRS and ERISA regulatory requirements, US GAAP and company policies, including establishing a timeline for completion of tasks to ensure internal and external deadlines are met. Review analytical, technical and unique/one time aspects as well as certain month-end and quarter-end close procedures related to the Company's external reporting including, but not limited to: Pension and defined contribution accounting under ASC 715, Compensation - Retirement Benefits Fair value disclosures under ASC 820, Fair Value Measurement Compose initial drafts of disclosures including, but not limited to, Management's Discussion and Analysis, Earnings Release sections and other document sections US GAAP disclosure checklist and other checklists as needed Monthly share reconciliation process Stock-based compensation entries and forecast Entries for the Company's defined benefit and savings plans Various account reconciliations Assist the Director, External Reporting with executing review responsibilities and strategy setting related to statutory reporting, government reporting, and ESG reporting on an as needed basis. Contribute to team success through the continuous coaching and teaching of team members, including giving timely constructive feedback. In addition, organize, set, and lead the weekly agenda for the external reporting team meetings with the department managers as well as facilitate external audit processes. Proactively solution concerns and issues across the global organization as a trusted and reliable business partner. Participate in projects and non-routine transactions, as needed. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or a major in finance with a masters in accounting Certified Public Accountant with an active license KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 9+ years of experience in accounting, auditing and/or financial analysis Accounting and Reporting Regulation Knowledge - Ability to apply knowledge of rules and regulation to maintain financial records, prepare financial statements, and comply with legal and regulatory
