ThisProject Cost Controllerrole is responsible for cost monitoring and controlling within defined standards and consistent practices. The position works closely with project teams on the compilation, assessment and documentation of project costs and associated cost monitoring and reporting required at various stages of the projects.Must have advanced skills in communication, cross-cultural awareness, and leadership. Your Day to Day: Initiate and plan all cost controls aspects of a project, which includes, but is not limited to project baselines and risk registers. Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that inefficiencies are reduced and overall project performance is optimized. Apply cost or risk analytics to confirm validity of plan. Responsible for the cost monitoring, tracking and cost control work Supports forecast estimation and verifies the accuracy of the actual to date cost (material, labor, manufactured costs, suppliers' invoices, timesheets, travel expenses.) Aligns with scheduler to ensure costs and schedule are aligned, providing time phased cost forecasts. Analyze internal costs to identify trends in cost forecasts. Support the project team by attending meetings and working collaboratively with others. Presents all financial data in a transparent way, attends project and management review to present cost status, budget deviations and root causes Promote teamwork and effective communication, which includes maintenance and dissemination of project metrics to ensure team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of project status Serve as project cost controls point of contact for internal and external customers in support of the successful project execution through completion. Integrate project's objectives and actions through participation with other project groups in matters of common concern. Who You Are: Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline. Minimum 0- 5 years of project cost controls experience in the nuclear industry Some experience in other project controls areas such as scheduling, risk management, change control would be beneficial Knowledge of project reporting, cost control and engineering controls, previous experience working with different business systems and tools (i.e. SAP, MSP and Excel) Required Competencies: Communication Driving for Results Planning and Organization Strategic Thinking Teamwork Employee Development /Mentoring Language : Proficiency in English Why Westinghouse?
