Core Faculty Position in Virginia
This is an employed position for the Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program, located in historic Abingdon, Virginia.
Seeking Full Spectrum, Internal Medicine, Core Faculty Physician for Internal Medicine Residency Program, established in 2015 and based in a 116-bed community hospital.
The ideal candidate must be Internal or Family Medicine board certified with training in full-scope medicine including a desire to provide patient care in various settings. Physicians must have a strong commitment to graduate medical education.
These are full-time positions with the following required duties: handling administrative duties for the GME program, which includes resident supervision in the clinic and hospital, attendance at meetings, candidate interviews, curriculum development, and research; and direct patient care and clinical activities working with our residents. The main focus of these positions will primarily be the teaching of residents, but will also have responsibilities for teaching medical students and oversight of advanced practice providers.
