Avera is currently seeking Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera's patient-focused settings.
Position Highlights:Paid Time Off (PTO) available on Day 1!Options for Free Health Insurance!Provide treatment to patients as they come for outpatient services in the therapy department.Able to work in a variety of areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swing bed, pediatrics, outpatient adult.Avera St. Mary's Named Top 20 Rural Community HospitalsJob SummaryThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is accountable for treatment of patients, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, and RN while treating patients in Cardiac Rehab.The department in which the PTA works on any given day is at the discretion of the department leadership, based on staffing and patient volumes.Education and/or ExperienceAssociates Degree -Physical Therapist Assistant is required.1-2 years of experience is preferred.Licensure/Certification/RegistrationSouth Dakota PTA license through the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic ExaminersBasic Life Support certification within the first 3 months of start date.Work ScheduleMonday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
