BC/BE Breast Surgeon

to join our outstanding

Breast Surgery

care program in the Greater Austin Region at the

Round Rock Medical Center

We are searching for an experienced, dynamic, fellowship-trained, Board-Certified Breast Surgeon to take our existing surgical breast practice to the next level. The primary focus of this position will be the achievement of high value cancer care through the delivery of high quality scientifically based breast surgical care throughout the system. The ideal candidate should be focused on quality and be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians and other professionals to provide optimum patient care within our award-winning integrated health care system.

Our Breast Team provides the continuum of breast care, including diagnosis, cancer treatment, and high-risk management. Multidisciplinary care is planned and provided in our cancer center supported by a Breast Oncology Leadership Team, as well as bi-weekly Breast Tumor Board. Our program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Breast Surgical Oncology or Surgical Oncology Fellowship

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery

Possession or eligibility to obtain a TX Medical License

Passion for establishing collaborative, trusting relationships with referral sources and peers in a multidisciplinary clinic setting.

Comfort with a solo-practice model. Physician will be the only breast surgeon at this facility with room to grow and define the program.

At least 5 years of experience preferred

No general surgery call required for this position

Advanced breast imaging

Clinic will be located in medical office building on hospital campus

Robotic capability across the region- Two da Vinci Xi robots onsite in RR (robotics not required)

Breast Surgery Program has one experienced APP in Round Rock

Fully integrated system utilizing Epic EMR

QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate Degree in Medicine

Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board

Where Applicable - Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her speciality or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
