Work with the Chief of Surgery to ensure all surgeons and ancillary staff in the Kings Pediatric Surgery Division work to meet or exceed the standard of care in treating pediatric surgery patients.
Participates and assists the Chief of Surgery in tasks and generation of metrics to support quality assurance and performance improvement for the Department of General Surgery and the Pediatric Surgery DivisionDirect the day-to-day administrative and clinical tasks for Kings Pediatric Surgery Division; e.g., making the monthly pediatric surgery call schedule.Work with the Chief of Surgery to help grow operative case volume for the division.Work with the Chief of Surgery in recruiting attending and ancillary staff to fill open positions within the pediatric surgery division.Assume all tasks--administrative, clinical, and outreach-- aimed at obtaining and maintaining verification as a level 2 pediatric trauma center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS).Serve as the Pediatric Trauma Medical Director once ACS verification for pediatric trauma level 2 is accomplished.Qualifications
