Summary: Responsible for the immediate supervision and coordination of platform and teller functions under the general direction of the branch manager. Directs, supervises, and coordinates the work of branch personnel to include platform, receptionists and tellers of a full service branch whose focus is lending, membership growth, training, employee development, service and sales management. Responsible for the general supervision of daily activities of staff and implementation and adherence to branch policies, procedures and federal regulations. Responsible for all aspects of operations in the absence of the branch manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Operations and Risk Management: Exercise leadership, authority and sound decision making to mitigate risk, protect member assets, and ensure the security of branch, personnel, members and their financial transactions. Implement and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, adherence to established policies and procedures, federal regulations and enforcement of dual control. Provide for accurate completion of daily branch settlement, cash management and maintenance of branch records to include monthly branch audits. Research and resolve settlement differences. Define and delegate authority, as appropriate to maintain efficiency of operations. Take necessary actions to ensure physical branch appearance meets standards. Responsible for reporting building safety or maintenance concerns. Evaluate quality of work produced and ensure timely error resolution, promoting risk mitigation and member satisfaction.

Culture and Leadership: Assist the branch manager with planning and execution to lead all aspects of branch performance. Create member loyalty through consultative interactions and solutions to help build wealth. In partnership with the branch manager, coordinate and lead the work of staff members engaged in providing efficient and courteous services comprised of opening new accounts, establishing business banking relationships, promoting products and services, performing day-to-day teller activities and conducting loan interviews and closings. Embody APGFCU values by cultivating and supporting a safe and secure workplace. Demonstrate commitment and interest in employee development by making contributions to performance appraisals and development of disciplinary action plans. Implement plans to promote continuous learning for self and staff through various learning channels. Anticipate and identify causes for inadequate results and take corrective action. Create and maintain an atmosphere of open communication, satisfactory employee and member relations, efficiency and productivity.

Member Experience and Sales: Lead, plan and implement a branded sales process in support of our mission of empowering members to build wealth. Optimize best practices through service and sales meetings, tracking, coaching and follow up. Enforce ethical sales practices through inspections, coaching, observations, and staff meetings. Coach consultative selling, maximizing all tools available and promoting daily service and sales activities. Assist with coordinating efforts of entire branch to achieve assigned monthly goals. Provide coaching to members of staff to develop skills and experience by completing or facilitating observational coaching, recommendations for additional training, and inspection of work produced. Support the branch manager in the preparation and review of monthly standards tool with each branch employee.

Business Development: Assist and support the branch manager to develop and promote APGFCU through community involvement and business associations. Coordinate with branch manager to participate in various outreach activities such as local APGFCU sponsored events and open enrollments. Work with business development directors to create awareness of APGFCU and promote membership growth.

Other:

Perform other related duties as assigned or associated with the responsibility. Additional : Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable). Qualifications: Leadership:

Strong leadership, motivation and managerial skills. Must have a professional demeanor. Demonstrate integrity and ethical standards. Demonstrate understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques. Education:

Associate's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or other related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted. Experience:

Minimum of three years of financial institution experience, including two years supervisory experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Team player who operates well in a dynamic, all hands-on deck environment. Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks on tight deadlines with a great attention to detail. Strong problem solving, priority-setting and decision-making skills. Positive, resourceful, and flexible. Familiar with branch administrative procedures, business computer operation, verifying and documenting financial transactions. Requires supervisory, communications and organization skills.
