Under the general direction and supervision of the CFO, the Director of Accounting is responsible for planning and directing all accounting and finance functions within the organization. Emphasis is placed on reporting, budgeting, projecting, and analyzing the company's financial performance. Must lead and manage employees by demonstrating our company's values with an emphasis on creating a culture that supports a high level of customer service, collaboration, and transparency through proactive communication. Responsibilities

• Handle the accounting processes, expense review, and reporting for Corporate accounting• Directing all aspects of the accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting• Oversee company accounting team and ensure records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles• Assisting in the financial planning and budgeting process for the company and individual offices• Review and approve invoices/bills• Responsible for Sage entry and accuracy• Ensure the accuracy of coding expenses and payments• Assist with posting agent commission payments daily for ACH payment processing• Monthly Agent Invoicing• Assist with Monthly Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations• Managing cash flow and identifying areas for improvement or reduced spending• Managing and improving systems and processes of the accounting department for efficiency and accuracy• Manage the Franchise Fee payments and monthly audit of transactions• Provide support for Corporate Services, Agents & Staff

Qualifications

• Experience with Sage Intacct software• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance• 5+ years experience in the field of accounting; 3+ years in a leadership role• General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), tax laws and audit procedures• Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required to ensure a candidate's success. Experience simplifying and communicating complex information is a plus• Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and the use of advanced formulas
