Fairfax Neonatal Associates, P.C. is seeking full time Board Certified/ Board Eligible Neonatologists to join our private practice group.

The FNA NICU is associated with Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital in Northern Virginia, right outside of Washington, DC. It is a 108 bed, Level IV NICU with an average of 1,500 NICU admissions and 11,000 newborn deliveries annually. The FNA NICU offers therapeutic hypothermia, full pediatric subspecialty support including pediatric surgery and access to ECMO and has a strong collaborative relationship with Inova Maternal Fetal Medicine. The NICU has a dedicated Small Baby Unit that focuses on critical care for most preterm babies from 22 weeks and up. FNA also provides coverage at the Level III NICUs at Inova Fair Oaks, Inova Alexandria and Inova Loudoun Hospitals.

The FNA NICU at Inova Children's Hospital is a participant in the Vermont Oxford Network and ranks in the top decile across VON measures. It has also been consistently named one of the top 50 children's hospitals for neonatal care by U.S. News and World Report. Applicants must have strong clinical and interpersonal skills and an interest in continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Board Certification in Pediatrics and BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.VA Medical license, DEA and VA Controlled Substance Registration, NRP CertificationPhysical Requirements

Patients in various locations and DR coverage require walking and stairs.Eye-hand coordination and dexterity, enabling the physician to perform procedures.Rotation between all hospital sites and at home call requires ability to arrive within 30 minutes if needed.
