ESC is seeking a Data Center Engineer for brand new program located in Washington, DC.
Foundational skills in Data Center operations, such as managing virtual infrastructure, working with Windows, Solaris, and AIX systems, utilizing VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite, and experience with hybrid cloud environments.Expertise in essential Data Center areas, including virtual infrastructure management, Windows and Solaris systems, AIX systems, VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite, and hybrid cloud experience.Core skills in Data Center management, encompassing virtual infrastructure hosting, familiarity with Windows, Solaris, and AIX systems, proficiency with VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite, and hybrid cloud experience.Fundamental Data Center skills, such as expertise in virtual infrastructure, Windows and Solaris operating systems, AIX systems, VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite, and hybrid cloud technologies.ResponsibilitiesPerform storage engineering design for periodic data center, storage, and remote site server hardware refreshes.Recommend hardware solutions compatible with existing Storage technologies.Document data center physical hardware designs including row, rack, bay, Interconnections, power, network, storage, serial numbers, lifecycle, and supporting service information.Create and document requisite storage configuration settings.Design and engineer a long-term storage solution to meet records management requirements.Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning storage to deliver Infrastructure-as – Code.QualificationsBS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2Proven Storage Engineering experience with multiple enterprise HPE Storage Area Networks (SAN)Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE)Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III - Desired.Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility.Professional-level Storage certifications desired.ITIL Foundations certification desired
