QUALIFICATIONS:RequiredCurrent Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the Minnesota Department of EducationMaster's Degree in Speech-Language PathologyExperience working with a wide variety of communication needsExperience in due process procedures including conducting evaluations, writing IEPs/IFSPs, progress monitoring and meeting facilitationExperience with students who use ASLPreferred

Previous related experienceCurrent Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-S/LP)POSITION SUMMARY:Under the supervision of building principals and/or special education administrators, the speech/language pathologist will screen, assess, and evaluate speech, language and communication needs for individuals with various physical, psychological, cognitive and sensory abilities.

Participate in multidisciplinary Part B/Part C team evaluation/assessment of a child, child's family, and in the development of integrated goals and outcomes for IEPs/IFSPsEducate parents and others regarding the provision of servicesProvide specialized instruction as outlined in IEPs/IFSPsUtilize a variety of materials and teaching techniques including evidence-based practicesImplement a variety of service delivery models including push-in classroom intervention, indirect/consultation, Family Guided Routines-Based intervention and pull-out intervention as appropriate to meet student needs in the least restrictive environmentConsult with parents, other service providers and representatives of appropriate community agencies to ensure the effective provision of servicesCollaborate with educational staff about student needs and progressPlan and conduct a system of continuous evaluation of each student's progressEncourage and instruct parents and educational staff in appropriate methods to assist their childParticipate in meetings to include IEP, IFSP, conferences, in-services, etc. for the purpose of developing plans and/or providing information regarding student's goals/outcomesPrepare documentation (evaluation, observations, progress reports) and maintain records as required and for compliance with district administrative policies, state and federal rules and regulations.Provide and maintain 3rd party billing documentation for eligible studentsProvide IEP case management and IFSP service coordination as neededMaintain confidentialityOther duties as assignedPHYSICAL FACTORS:
