ACCIONA Construction USA, part of the SR 400 Peach Partners consortium, have been awarded the contract to design and construct the SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, Georgia. This $4.6 billion project, awarded by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), is a key public-private partnership aimed at addressing congestion on a major highway in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The CQCM will ensure that all construction activities on the SR400 project meet required quality standards and specifications. This role involves overseeing quality assurance programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines. The QC Manager will collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues.
Job Description
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement QC plans and procedures.
Conduct site inspections and quality audits.
Ensure adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
Manage non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
Review and approve materials and workmanship to meet project requirements.
Prepare and submit QC reports, ensuring accurate documentation of quality checks.
Train construction teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
Coordinate with project managers and engineers to address quality issues promptly.
Lead investigations of quality-related problems and implement corrective measures.
Maintain and update quality control documentation, records, and logs.
Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards during construction
Skills
Knowledge of construction processes, engineering principles, and evaluating quality of materials.
Understanding of local codes and building standards to ensure of compliance.
Proven experience in performing quality tests on materials and workmanship.
Advanced knowledge of Total Quality Management and Methodologies.
Advanced knowledge of ISO 9000 and 9001.
Exceptional communication skills.
Able to read and interpret complex civil engineering specifications.
Skilled at solving complex engineering quality calculations.
Advanced report writing skills to produce quality plans and quality reports.
Skilled at working with others and influencing them to understand and comply with quality requirements.
Exceptional problem-solving skills to resolve potential quality issues.
Planning and resource management skills to ensure quality control activities
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 15+ years of quality control experience in large-scale construction projects above 400M$.
Knowledge of construction standards and regulatory codes.
