Pasadena Villa Great Lakes is a residential psychiatric facility located in Battle Creek, Michigan. Our campus provides a beautiful modern aesthetic in a therapeutic environment, ideal for healing and recovery, including areas for reflection, outdoor walking trails, a pond water feature, and a state-of-the-art wellness and fitness center.
Position Summary
The Psychiatrist is primarily responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication consultation and collaboration with community prescribers. Position ensures clients are medically stable and clinically appropriate upon admission to treatment services. Provides pharmacological treatment, if indicated, and requests and reviews any needed lab work. Position collaborates with team members to oversee and promote the health and safety of clients throughout the treatment process.
Essential ResponsibilitiesProvides compassionate and professional psychiatric care and guidance to clients, ensuring optimal levels of client health and safety.
Cultivates and maintains a client-centered approach to care, recognizing and adapting to cultural diversity in the provision of care, incorporating client's cultural and spiritual preferences, values, and beliefs into the provision of care.Cultivates and maintains a client-centered approach to confidentiality, privacy, comfort, emotional support, mutual trust, and respect.
Collaborates with Medical Director/Medical Providers in the provision of medical care to clients.
Completes all required client assessments/evaluations within appropriate timelines as required by payor and regulatory bodies.Completes medical record and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner to meet regulatory and payer requirements.Provides medication management services for clients in care, as needed.
Provides case consultation in person and by telephone in unusual or urgent situations, as needed.Provides consultation, education and related information to clients and the families, increasing treatment success through program engagement.Additional Responsibilities
Provides consultation to clinical partners as needed to ensure continuity of care.Participates in marketing and outreach events on occasion, as requested.Performs other activities, as requested.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Must be a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed to practice within the state of Michigan. Requires a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a behavioral healthcare treatment setting, previous eating disorder treatment experience strongly preferred.
Other RequirementsActive and clear DEA License.TB skin test, or equivalent, and background check clearance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
