Description
Job Summary:
Automotive Finance (F & I) Managerhelps our customers arrange the financing of purchases and present additional products that enhance the vehicle and ownership experience. They are proficient at structuring deals for maximum profitability and collection ability.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties & Responsibilities:Sells Insurance and Financing products to customers.Fully proficient with title laws and the registration process.Maintains proficiency and certifications as required for the position.Desks deals accurately, submits deals to lenders for approval, makes credit decisions, and effectively closes deals.Establishes and maintains good working relationships with several finance sources, including the manufacturer.Ensures all deals are fully compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines.Prepares paperwork and contracts and delivers deals.Prepares and mails all deal packages with complete and proper documentation to lenders and/or follows any other departmental process.Audits team deals accurately post-sale.Ensures the expeditious funding of all contracts.Upsells vehicle service contracts and aftermarket items.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities:
Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation, and professional appearance and presentation skills.Partner with Sales Team to secure profits from each deal.Ability to ask for the sale and follow through.Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staffStrong and confident personalityHighly professional and dependableStrong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong math skillsStrong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suiteMust be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.At least 2 years of experience as a finance and insurance manager within an automotive dealership environment.Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
