Shift: Nights / 7:30p-8a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:CA License1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experienceGraduate of an accredited nursing programEmergency Nursing Pediatric CourseEmergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hireBCLSACLSPALSBachelors degree in nursing or related fieldCEN preferredTNCC preferredDemonstrated ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias preferredNIH Stroke Scale Certificate preferredEpic Travel Staffing:

Emergency room travel nurses are on the hospital front-lines, which is why emergency room travel nurse positions require a candidate who is able to handle a stressful and busy environment. They are responsible for examining patients upon their arrival and carrying out triage tasks to assess their condition. Ability to identify injuries, signs and symptoms, and communicate their assessment to the physician are required for the emergency room nurse. A travel ER nurse assists in patient treatment and explaining prescription information to patient/family among other tasks and must know the facility and government policies as it relates to patient treatment, transfer, and discharge. Educating the patient and their family about continued treatment at home is another task carried out by emergency room nurses before discharge.
