St. Mary's Medical Center is looking for a full time, day shift Operating Room/Surgical Tech!
St. Mary's Medical Center is looking for afull time, day shiftOperating Room/Surgical Tech (ST)who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more. Our OR/Surg Tech duties include but are not limited to:
responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure
maintaining sterile field during case
providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures
able to work well under stressful and emergency situations
able to act quickly and accurately
some assistance in sterile processing may be necessary
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties (i.e. General, Ortho, Urology and GYN).
Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Two to Three years experience working in an operating room setting or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) upon hire and maintained current.
Must be proficient in the following specialties within 6 months: a. General. Gyn. Urology. Vascular. ENT/Plastics.
Must be proficient one of the following specialties within 6 months: a. Major Vascular, Ortho, Neuro.
Proficient is defined as the associate can perform cases in that specialty independently.
