We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our dynamic and evolving division; new graduates are also encouraged to apply. We serve a diverse community with a wide range of interesting cases. We are a collegial department that values clinical excellence, education of residents and faculty personal growth and well-being. The position will offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits.The Division of Interventional Radiology is primarily based at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. We also provide services to a community hospital in East Orange, NJ. Interventional Radiology is a full clinical service with an inpatient consult service and an outpatient clinic. We are staffed with 5 full time Faculty and 2 Physician Assistants. We have several busy service lines such as interventional oncology (Y90, TACE, Ablation), hepatobiliary interventions, venous thromboembolism, peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access, Level 1 trauma interventions, women's and men's health, MSK interventions to mention a few.The successful applicant will be fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology, must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, and must be ABR eligible or certified in IR/DR. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the practice of interventional radiology and will help us with the continued expansion of our service lines. Ability to obtain Y90 Authorized User status is required and experience with peripheral artery disease treatment is preferred. Scholarly activity is encouraged.The Department of Radiology has 28 clinical and research faculty members, and 18 diagnostic radiology residents who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. We have up to two Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) positions for residents each year. There are abundant opportunities for research and resident/student mentorship. We take care of a diverse patient population with a wide variety of interesting cases.
