Job Title: Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer Job Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30), every other holiday (open to 5x8's as well) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of experience in a related healthcare program, such as sonography, radiology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, or RN. License: Not specified Certifications: RDCS or RCS certified, BLS certification; RVT or RVS is a plus. Must-Have: - Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the central facility located at 111 S Grant Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43215. Job Description: - Utilize ultrasound imaging modalities to provide information about the patient's vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.- Perform various procedures including: - Ankle-Brachial Indexes (ABIs), including segmental and exercise ABIs - Lower extremity arterial and venous studies - Upper extremity arterial and venous studies - Carotid studies - Complete, limited, and screening abdominal aorta studies- Operate GE Logiq E10 ultrasound machines.- Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records.- Adhere to the scrub color code of charcoal grey.- Participate in minimal weekend staffing with flexible weekday schedules to maintain 40 hours. - Be prepared for evening call duties as the department operates 24/7.- Maintain compliance with travel and staffing policies, including a one-year absence for former staff of the facility before being considered for a traveler position. - Ensure professional conduct, as multiple call-offs or a no-call, no-show could result in termination. - Complete 16 hours of orientation.
