Title: Tax,Trust & Estate AssociateLocation: NYC (Midtown), North NJ or Boca Raton, FL - (Hybrid)Salary: $225K-$315K
Growing Established Law Firm Seeks Tax, Trust & Estate Attorney to join their team!
Responsibilities:Consult with clients to understand their unique needs and objectives for estate planning.Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other legal documents in accordance with client instructions and applicable laws.Assist trustees and beneficiaries with the administration of trusts, including asset management and distribution.Guide clients through the probate process, from validating wills to resolving disputes among heirs or beneficiaries.Address legal issues affecting older adults, such as long-term care and Medicaid planning and guardianship proceedings.Represent clients in trust and estate litigation, including will contests and breach of fiduciary duty claims.Attend relevant events and conduct educational seminars for potential clients.Advise clients on a variety of tax law matters, including but not limited to tax planning, compliance, and controversyConduct legal research and analysis to support clients' needsRepresent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with government agenciesProvide strategic guidance to clients on complex tax mattersManage client relationships and ensure client satisfactionStay up-to-date on changes in tax law and regulations and provide timely updates to clients
Skills & Experience :
New York, New Jersey, Florida or Maryland Bar AdmissionJuris Doctor from accredited law schoolLLM preferred in Taxation or Estate Planning3-5 years' experience in estate/trust law practice environmentExposure to Microsoft Now / LexisNexis / PerfectLaw or Westlaw softwareStrong written, oral communication & presentation skills.In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
