AMA Medical Group (AMA) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Primary Care Doctor to join our growing private practice in the beautiful waterfront community of Dunedin, Florida. As an Outpatient Primary Care Doctor at AMA, you will have the opportunity to rediscover the joy of practicing medicine in a primary care setting with a smaller patient panel. Our patient-centric care team approach allows you to focus on delivering personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate medical care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Utilize managed care processes to ensure cost-effective and efficient utilization of lab, radiology, and extended service providers, including specialists, hospitals, skilled nursing providers, and other ancillary services.
Complete timely and comprehensive medical documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
Abstract medical documentation for hierarchical condition category (HCC) coding, contributing to accurate and comprehensive patient profiles.
These responsibilities highlight the importance of efficient resource utilization and accurate medical documentation, which are essential for providing high-quality care and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans
Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
Board certification or eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
Current, unrestricted Florida Medical License
Valid DEA
This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance
Eligible for medical malpractice insurance provided by AMG.
Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Greek is a plus.
