POSITION SUMMARY:The Music Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, coordination and day to day operations of the music therapy program, the music therapists, the music therapy Internship and all music volunteers. This includes but is not limited to: the provision of music therapy services for all patients, families and staff at JHACH who are prioritized to receive music therapy services, inclusive of: assessment, planning, intervention and documentation, the application, the selection, maintenance, training, and clinical supervision of music therapists, the music therapy internship and its students, and the selection and oversight of the music volunteers.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Music TherapyBoard Certified3 years working as a Board-Certified Music Therapist in a healthcare setting1-year experience working as a Board-Certified Music Therapist in a pediatric healthcare setting.Meets all educational, musical, clinical, and ethical competencies outlined by the American Music Therapy AssociationThorough knowledge of Child Development and the ability to assess with visual and auditory acuity and respond effectively to the individual, age specific needs with high quality music therapy interventionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCurrent infant, child, and adult CPR and AED training, AHA
